Easy Door Upgrade

I come from a long line of DIY’ers. I’m a crafter and a do it yourself-er, and it doesn’t look like I am slowing down any time soon.

My sister and I used to come home from school to practically a new house thanks to my Mom. She would repaint walls/furniture, then move it all around just because she was bored with the look, all before dinner-time.

My Granny Judy has been known to knock down walls in the house by herself, (#demoday) simply because she was sick of looking at the wall. Funny enough ,later on-she decided the wall needed to be there-so she helped the foreman put it back up. (She couldn’t do this completely herself, but she was always there helping the foreman throughout the whole process. My hero.) She was ALWAYS the one doing projects around her home, and now if she sees we are doing things around our house, she is itching to help us, just like the old days in her own home.

9 years ago, little did I know, I married a DIY’er as well–and Lordy I am grateful! We have never ONCE had to hire a handyman for any issues around our house. And somehow, he can decipher all of my little ideas and sometimes crazy thoughts, and bring them to life around the house. (Would you like a post on that?)

The latest venture started with one of his ideas–Something as simple as changing the door hinges. Ours were old and brass–and at some point, he bought a box full of beautiful black hinges at a yard sale for $3.00. (Random, but Score) The following was our convo:

D: I think I want to change the door hinges.

B: Just the hinges?

D: Yeah, Why not?

B: I don’t know. I think if we are changing the hinges, we may as well totally update the doors.

D: Like how?

B: (Cue my excited voice) Ok so I really want to sand them down, add trim and-bare with me now– but I want to paint them flat black.

D: Whoa whoa whoa. Black? No!

B: I’m telling you-it will be gorgeous! Trust me. (Finds a pic online. Shoves IPad in his face.)

D: Lord woman. Ok, go buy your trim and paint.

(Brandi Silently squeals for joy at the triumph and immediately leaves for Lowe’s.)

Can I just say- I am EVER SO THANKFUL he takes my ideas and runs with them. And then helps me through all the little things I can’t do. Poor thing-he always thinks my projects will be so simple and they always end up being SO MUCH WORK. This was no exception. Nonetheless, I wanted to share with you all-because if you want to do it-more than likely your project will be 100 times easier than ours. So off I went to Lowe’s to but my trim and paint. Long story short, I bought the wrong trim, and had to take it back. (He ended up cutting us our own trim and I am so THRILLED with the outcome!) So our only expense was the paint which was 25.00 , and a door and cabinet roller which was $5.00. We ended up using a half gallon of paint–and I am so happy I have so much left over for other projects! So in your case, you will need:

  • A gallon of Black paint. (We used the darkest charcoal gray you can get)
  • Small trim
  • Brushes, door rollers, paint pan, etc
  • New hinges (optional)

Here is the process: 1. Take your doors off. I used the drill as it made the task ridiculously easy and saved so much time-but if you want to use the good ol’ screwdriver, go for it. Whatever floats your boat. (Side note-I am addicted to power tools. I love the drill and sander. Love. ) 2. Sand the doors. Now we had an extra step in here, because our doors were painted over varnish. The paint wouldn’t sand down. It just chipped away little by little so we had to scrap EVERY SINGLE OUNCE OF PAINT OFF. (Yup. Here is the extra work we didn’t count on.) (See that mess?? It grew to at least double this–but this husband of mine cleaned it up before I could get a picture. Saint.) This was such a pain in the rear, but totally necessary for our new paint to stick. So we chipped away, until all the paint was gone. And then I sanded. And sanded. And sanded. And sanded…and…..ya know….sanded some more. I used a palm sander, but if all you have is sandpaper, that will work as well! You just need to rough the existing paint up enough for your new paint to stick to it. 3. Apply your trim. I honestly didn’t have a single thing to do with this step. Hubby did it all! He took a 1×4 and cut it into even strips and nailed to the door. This step is optional, but I feel like the trim truly made the doors beautiful! If you decide to buy trim, you can get it at Lowe’s or Home Depot for about $4.00 per piece. I think you would need about 1 piece per door, but depending on how you do your design, every door will be different. Talk to your Lowe’s man for details! (See below for detail shot.) 4. Paint. Paint. Paint. I started with a brush and painted all around the trim on each door. Then I used a door and cabinet roller to paint the rest of the door. I think this roller was important to use, in that I had zero brush lines and the door is so smooth looking! 5. Hang the doors back upNow admire your work! I can’t believe how regal the doors look now. It’s a total difference! Want to see for yourself? This is the before…..Yikes. Ready for the after?????????? Ready…..set….feast your eyes on these babies……Is that not absolutely GORGEOUS????? I can’t get over it. I live for projects like this…and living in an older house-ours is a constant work in progress-and we secretly love it. Now the next project-paint the hallway gray. I can’t wait for the finished project-and I will be sure to share that too! So for everyone who follows on Instagram, now you see what we have been working on! And if you don’t follow, how about you check my page out now? Find me Here. What do you think? How does it look? Do you think you will take this project on? Make sure to pin to Pinterest and share on FB yall! Thanks again, and of course, All the love dolls 💋<<

The perfect dress..ruined…Or so I thought.

It’s not too often I find a dress I immediately fall in love with. But every once in a great while–the dress finds me-and I am HOOKED. Well, this glorious feeling occurred last month at my local Bargain Hunt. The perfect lacy white dress. So elegant. SO dreamy. So me. I had to have it. And yes-it was at bargain hunt. Judge if you must.

But to top off my dress high, every single dress in the store this particular day was FIVE DOLLARS. Five bucks! I couldn’t believe it–my dream dress was $5.00-and it was in my size. (Bargain hunt was selling this dress for $49.00-so I know the original price was through ROOF. You can just look at it and tell the quality is A++ so I was thrilled with the $5.00 price tag…..I found some great deals on some other Lark&Ro items Here and Here if you want to check out some other awesome items they have!!) At any rate, I grabbed it and was in quite the hurry, so I didn’t try it on. But for five bucks, shoooooot, it would fit someone if it didn’t work for me. ( Really though–I wanted this to fit more than I have ever wanted a dress to fit before.)

I came home and immediately hung it in the closet, ready to wear for Sunday. Well, Sunday rolls around and I put it on-Dale zips it-and lawd have mercy! It fit-like a glove. Dear gosh I was so IN LOVE. Well, life sure knows how to burst my bubble-because DANG IT if that dress didn’t have a huge hole right in on my front shoulder area. Oh I was crushed as I had to take it off and find a new outfit. The perfect dress. Betrayed me. (Insert hypothetical incontrollable sobbing. )

I think anyone else would have donated it after that-but I am no quitter. So I tried to cover it with a brooch, and that was a mess. The hole sat too high on my shoulder to cover it. It looked crazy. So idea number 2 hit–and I am a little proud. Just a little. Ok a bunch. A bunch proud. Don’t laugh.

I have so much embroidery floss on hand (not sure why) that I thought maybe I could make something cool to cover up the hole in my heart. Oh…. I mean my dress. The hole in my dress.

Here’s another view of this terrible hole in my heart…Gosh I mean DRESS! There is a hole in the DRESS!

So I quickly sewed the fabric together, but now there was an ugly seam in the middle of my shouldery-clavicle area that was downright awkward. I promptly threaded a needle with the floss, and attempted to embroider some random flowers over the weird seam. (Click HERE To see what I used to embroider the flowers. This is where you click for the appropriate needles! )

Now, it isn’t perfect, but I got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on this dress. Next time, I will buy an embroidery hoop instead of trying to freehand that mess. Gosh that was annoying.

But check out what it looks like up close–again–not perfect, but it did the job!

Now I have a totally original piece, that makes for a fun conversation when people mention it!

Here is what it looks like on–and y’all-you know I’m SMITTEN.

What do you think? Pretty, eh?

I can’t find my dress exactly, but click Here for a fun alternative! Here is another fun option…. Click here. Hopefully this inspires some of you to get creative with your clothes and add some pizazz to your outfits! I may start doing this on everything, just to add some originality to my wardrobe. 😜

What do you think? What is your creative go-to in fixing outfit problems? Let me know!

‘Getting too personal’ post

Ok men who read my blog–I know who you are..and this is a post you need to skip. Scroll on past, don’t click the link, look away, turn your head-whatever you need to do to NOT READ THIS POST. WOMEN ONLY from this point on. I’m telling you–it’s not something you want to hear or know about. It’s one of those “women talk” posts. Ohh yea…….now you get it.

Ok now that we are clear, and It’s ONLY ladies reading from this point forward (right?) let’s get into it.

I’ve hesitated to post this for a while, but the more I think about it, the more I think it might be needed–Maybe not. Or maybe you will say it’s too personal and I shouldn’t do another post of the sort. Well hopefully, I won’t need to do another post of this sort, because I have the issue fixed. I’m telling you–guys–if you are still reading….there is still time to back out. Do it now or you are going to regret it later.

Soooo…the goods. Or the bads…the worsts. Yeah-that’s what we will call them-“The Worsts.” Yep–talking about periods y’all. And really, I can’t complain about mine. I don’t cramp. I don’t even feel a thing til it “hits me.” Now my husband on the other hand can always tell when it’s coming because I have to have a good cry over nothing in particular a couple days before FLO decides to make her entrance. And the “you must be about to start your period” convo insults me every dang month because I think I am truly just having an emotional day… then the period shows her nasty teeth and I have to laugh because he always knows me better than I know myself. Poor husband. Bless him.

At any rate, I literally have been using Always brand pads forever. Just because, you know, that’s the #1 brand, right? Well, I have had this awful issue that I just kind of assumed came with the territory. Well evidently not…. Ok here goes…Every single period I was getting so chaffed ! And let me tell you–It was HORRIBLE. I couldn’t move at all without this pain. And it was every minute of every day while on the nasty week. Ugh. AWFUL. I never once thought it could have been because of the equipment I was using, I just assumed, once again, this is what happened from the extra moisture for the week. (SO sorry all. Trying to be as G-rated as possible here.)

I used everything to try and cool down the problem. Coconut oil. Lotions. Vinegar (Umm…Ouch.) Boudreaux’s Butt Paste (This was actually a huge help….Uhh…yea. Had to use the butt paste for diaper rash on my yoo-hoo. Not glamorous girls. Nope. Not at all.

But describing the issue to a friend one day, she asked ” What brand do you use?” To which I of course replied “Always.” She said “Oh my gosh! Change the brand! Those things TEAR ME UP!”

OH MY GOSH….How did this never hit me before????? I guess I have just never been allergic to ANYTHING before so it never even crossed my mind!

Well, after some thought, I went to Target to get a pad that was “pure.” No chemicals. No nastiness. I had enough nastiness as it was..That’s when I came across these heavenly hourglass shaped pillows.

I had this bag sitting on my counter for a week, and no one knew what it was. Isn’t the packaging AMAZING? So glam for a bag of pads. And please notice what ISN’T in them:

  • Pesticides
  • Rayon
  • Fragrances
  • Deodorants
  • Dyes

Who knew those things were in other pads???? My gosh I was shocked! Also–loving that the size is SUPER-califragilisticexpialidocious. Heck yes. Love it. And any bag that flat out says “We got you” on the front, is an ace in my book.

Check the back! Y’all-I’m sold for life!!!

The brand is called L. I grabbed mine at my local Target, but here is a link if you want to order online.

FYI-they worked great. No leaks. No hurt. No rash. No pain. And they don’t cost any more than Kotex or Always. *Added Plus–for every pad bought, they give one to a girl in need. Yes. Just yes.*

So now that you know WAY to much about me and my issues, what do you think about these? Guys-who kept reading when I said not to–poor souls. You did it to yourselves…..

Anyways…..You think this is maybe something you would want to try?? Let me know!

5 minute makeup using ONLY drugstore products

Makeup tutorials seem to be my most requested blog posts–and I love that! Problem: I can’t do videos on my blog–so I have to do it via a series of pictures-which poses quite the challenge, but I am up for it. I think.

So I tried to whip up a 5 minute makeup routine–and I really think its pretty easy to follow. If you need any help with ANY of the steps, comment or email me! I am happy to give any insight I have.

Once again, I am NOT–I repeat NOT a professional. I just like to play in makeup, and you all have asked to see how I do it! So here goes…

5 MINUTE MAKEUP using these tools:

  • Foundation: Physician’s Formula CC Cream
  • Bronzer: Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer
  • Mascara: Maybelline ‘The Colossal Big Shot’
  • Concealer: Fit me
  • Eyeliner: Revlon Color Stay in brown
  • Eyeshadow-Maybelline Blushed Nudes
  • Brows: e.l.f. Pomade
  • Shadow brush: wet n’ wild
  • Bronzer Brush: elf powder brush
  • Beauty blender: real techniques
  • Lipstick/Blush: Revlon ‘champagne on ice’ *not pictured*

Ok-on to the good stuff.

Step 1: Foundation

I LOVE this CC cream for an easy every day foundation. It’s so simple to put on and can accommodate several skin shades. I put a little dob on the back of my hand like so ,

and use a beauty blender to apply to your face. Wet the beauty blender and pounce the the foundation all over until fully blended!

Step 2: Concealer

I apply the concealer under my eyes in a V shape, and blend with your beauty blender.

Then if you want to get extra snazzy, apply the leftover concealer down the middle of your nose.

Step 3: Bronzer

YALL–Bronzer is your bestie from here on out. Remember that. You will notice your whole face start to transform when you apply bronzer. For this look, I just swept a little from my cheekbones back to my hairline.  Next, sweep it around your forehead (near the hairline). I also like to do a little of my neck and Chest for a pretty glow. DISCLAIMER: Prepare to get addicted to this bronzer. It’s a drugstore bronzer, but I PROMISE YOU-it’s my fav. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Perfect amount of glow and smells like heaven.

Most people would probably not use a powder brush for bronzer, but this one is my fav! Its an e.l.f brush, and will run you $3.00 at Target. Score! Just make sure we are blending the bronzer out yall!

Step 4: Eyeshadow

I kept this look super simple and only used 2 shadows—although any other time I will always tell you—EVERY TIME YOU DO EYESHADOW, USE AT LEAST 3 DIFFERENT SHADES. You get such pretty depth, and I promise–your eyes will pop!

Today I used this color first–

And just swept it all over my lid and into the crease with my wet n’ wild brush. These are at dollar tree for $1.00 yall! And the quality is great for the price–go grab one asap! (Also-I know it will be a rough transition, but the sooner you can start using a brush for eyeshadow, the prettier your eyes will be. And the more you use them, the easier it gets! The wet n’ wild brush shown here has a little groove that forces you to hold the brush correctly as well–love that! )

*Yes-my pinky is jacked up. I broke it playing volleyball as a teen-never got it fixed and that stupid finger is the biggest pain in my butt now. *

This next color  I just swept into a V-shape on the outer corners of my eyelids. Instant depth.

Step 5: Eyeliner

I just used a brown eyeliner and lined my eyes and in the inner rims of my lower eyelid. Simple.

Step 6: Mascara (My fav)

If you ask me what the most important makeup item you can wear is, I will always say mascara! It will totally change your face for the better every time, and your eyes will love you for it. I just bought this mascara, and man is it awesome! I highly recommend it for some BIG ol’ lashes. Go getcha’ some.

I roll in on the back side of my lashes, and coat til my arms hurt..ALLLL the mascara yall. COAT IT ON.

Step 7. Blush/Lipstick

OK usually I would do blush after I bronze-but today is a little different. I used my lipstick as my blush as well! Here is the color: I love this nude color and it’s makes such a pretty cheek color as well! Just apply at the apples and blend up! Simple.

STEP 8: Brows

Usually I would use a brush, but today just used my finger to add a little color and that’s it!

Try ti ignore all the foundation all over my nails–I am super messy 😬

SOOOO….here is the finished product!
Simple easy makeup that anyone can do-I promise!! Any questions? Send them my way!!! Let me know what you think dolls!!

Free Jewelry via Rocksbox

Everyone loves a good subscription box right?? I am a big fan of the makeup boxes (Ipsy, Birchbox) and have seen a few others I would like to subscribe to–but you know–budget 🙄.

This box isn’t the typical subscription..This one is JEWELRY. Girls–the right earrings or necklace can make or break an outfit and I am a firm believer in earrings every day. If I leave the house without them, it’s going to mess my day up-ridiculous I know-but I can’t help it. I’m naked without them!

Now Rocksbox is a great alternative to shopping at the store–because you get 3 items and you keep them as long as you like! No overwhelming choices, and you don’t have to buy if you dont like them!

It’s Simple. Wear the items you love. Keep them. Get tired of them? Return for a new pair! Hate it from the start? Return them! Boom- New jewelry all the time and it can’t get any easier.

I will be honest-my first box wasn’t my favorite. I was slightly devastated, and emailed the Rocksbox team. To my suprise, they said to send it back and my next box was free too! I was in shock. They proceeded to tell me that you pay PER MONTH not PER BOX.  So when you order your first box, if you hate it. Send it back! They will immediately send another. FREE. Or if you love the items but wore them all in the week and want to try a new set, send them back. It’s free! So technically, you could order as many boxes as you could possible send in the month, and they would all be free! Seriously, I am loving this setup y’all . Perfect.

Just CLICK HERE for your first MONTH free! I highly recommend it and hope you try it out too! Now want to see what was in my box? Prepare yourselves–its fab.

So this is the box it comes in–OMG the cutest ever right?

I love that it even comes personalized with my name! Nice touch Rocksbox. 👌🏻

Now this I LOVED. Remember how I said I didn’t really like my first box? Well I made sure to be a little more in depth with what I was looking for in my second box, and they LISTENED. I said I wanted more fringe and tassels–and fringe and tassels I got. Their customer service is spot on. 👌🏻

So now to the good stuff. Check these out.

Can we say perfection?  They are so DANG CUTE.

Check these babies out…..Gorge.

Girls–The site is extremely user friendly and ANYONE can navigate it.  Make sure to be THOROUGH in telling your stylist what you like–colors, metal choices, if you like heavy/or lighter jewelry, etc. It makes a difference!

Do you want to see them styled? Check out a few pics with them on…Man I loved these!!! So pretty!

And these?? These..My goodness…..They were my favorite. So pretty and fun!

(Ignore the office furniture–I snapped these at work. I wanted you to see them in real life-this is as real as it gets. )

But seriously.. You have to check out Rocksbox…. You will love it! Just CLICK HERE for your first box FREE! IF you decide Rocksbox isn’t for you, simply call them to cancel! No hassle. (Just cancel before your next box ships.) Easy Peasy.

Let me know how you style your first box… I want to see what you all think!

One of the best Dollar Tree Finds….And It’s a MUST HAVE.

Hey there friends!

This has been such a crazy month for me–and I am loving it! We have been keeping ourselves busy spending time with family and friends, spent the last weekend at a 3 day bible convention (so refreshing) alll the summer fun outside, party planning, our bible ministry, etc. All exciting stuff .  😬

One of the main events taking up my time this past month? Jack and Jules . Not familiar? It is our local children’s consignment that comes around twice a year…..and I LOVE it. It’s time consuming but SO WORTH IT. It’s a great way to sell your children’s gently used clothes/and to grab some great deals for your littles. (Let me know if you want a blog post on my hanging/pricing process!)

At any rate, I wanted to share one of my tried and true time savers–and this will work for anyone–especially those of us who hate to iron.

I am not going to lie, when my kids outgrow their clothes, I throw them in the bottom of the closet (sometimes they make it in the  ” I’ve outgrown It box”, sometimes they don’t.) Nonetheless, they are wrinkled. To the max. Every one of them.

That being said, I think I have found the holy grail of wrinkle reducers, and it’s cheap as dirt. Literally, maybe cheaper than dirt. ( NO joke–try potting all the plants around your house. Its pricey.)

Once again, Dollar Tree has come to the rescue. This wrinkle reducer y’all–all the praise hand emojis..Here. Let me throw one in here just for fun. 🙌🏻.. It’s bomb. Do the kids say that anymore? Someone fill me in.

Notice what it looks like here…..

Now promptly leave your house, and go grab a bottle.

It smells so fresh and clean–and it’s so simple to use! Evidently it is the off brand of Downy, which I didn’t realize existed. But I’m telling you, it can’t be much better than this.

Just spray it on your wrinkled item, and give it a pull. Pull the clothing on each side, and then top and bottom. It’s awesome! Notice the difference in this shirt.

Before

After

Ok please don’t fault me as I forgot to spray the bottom of the shirt, ( I was so excited to share with ya people, per the usual) but isn’t the difference AMAZING????? SO MUCH EASIER than ironing.

I also am a huge fan of the “throw it back in the dryer with a wet towel” trick, but sometimes there just isn’t time, ya know? Add in the nice scent boost with it, and you have a solid champ in this wrinkle releaser.

The price point can’t be beat for the time it saves you!

Do you use a spray on wrinkle releaser like this? What is your take on it?? Let me know in the comments!!!!!

Beauty favs-  Boscia Exfoliating Peel

Sorry gals! I know I have been MIA for a while, but I am really making an effort to spend as much of this summer as I can with my boys. Overall, I don’t consider myself a “summer person”, but this year, I just don’t know—-Maybe I am turning over a new leaf! I think I just associate Summer with terrible heat, and terrible heat with being a pregnant whale, and being a pregnant whale with NONSTOP sweating. It was miserable. I was miserable. And I know I was miserable to BE AROUND (SO sorry to all of you who had to be in the car with me and the AC on as high as possible. I know you froze. Thanks for freezing for me. Love youuuu.)  I ALSO was TERRIFIED my babies would overheat in the sun, and so I stayed out of it as much as possible.

But now that I am not so worried about infants overheating, (or melting myself) I seem to be really enjoying Summer! I think Ifinally  understand why all these people love this season that I used to despise. That being said, the Summer heat does a number on our skin, and we need to combat some of these issues while we can!

Now, I am not the greatest at taking care of my skin–and I really wish my skin care product shelf was more than just a shelf. (Now makeup on the other hand—-maybe I have too much?……Nah).

But for whatever reason, I find it so hard to splurge on skincare…(Kind of like we don’t want to spend the 30.00 on the blouse that will last forever, but dropping 30 bucks on dinner is a no brainer.) I know I need to start with my skin, especially since I am a huge makeup fan, but getting started is rough!

At any rate, I decided to take the plunge and visited my local Sephora. They are used to seeing me there for makeup, and know my kids when we come in. It’s a problem, I know. But that day, I needed to see the skincare lady–new territory!

I told the consultant I felt like my skin needed a good cleaning-something to rid my face of the build-up and dirt. I didn’t want to break the bank, but needed something decent. She directed me to the Boscia shelf. I have seen this brand several times before, but never thought too much about it. She revealed to me that this peel was exactly what I needed, and would last quite a while.  Its the Boscia “exfoliating peel gel.” It’s like a mini chemical peel! Exciting, right? She also mentioned that it would clear up these black-heads that I hate so much. Cha-Ching!

I took it home and tried it, and no joke, it WORKED. Its kind of a weird setup if you ask me, but I can roll with it. You have to apply it to DRY skin, and rub around your face. It starts to ball up as you go, and that is how you know it’s working my friends!

Continue to rub it around for a minute, then rinse.  Voila!  Easy peasy.

Check out what the back says for yourself–its pretty neat!

Sorry about my awful nails–time to repaint–I know.

My skin immediately felt better after using this, and with time, I should be able to use it less often!

I HIGHLY recommend this product, and think you will love it too!

What are some of your favs? Let me know if you try this one

Worst Conditioner turned something great….

So if you haven’t noticed by now, I am a shopping addict. I am here to admit it-I have a problem. And that’s the first step, right? Well, amidst all of my shopping experiences, I have learned a few things. One of those being-stop buying the conditioners at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, etc.

EVERY TIME I get sucked in. “Whoa! This huge bottle for $2.99? Argan oil? Coconut oil? On clearance? That has to help my dried out bird’s nest hair!” Right? WRONG.

I can’t be the only one getting pulled in here. But really, every conditioner I have tried has failed me. And it hurts….to the core. I hate to waste my money-and feel slightly betrayed when my favorite stores do me wrong. #rude

All that being said, I REFUSE to throw these bottles out. Instead, I find a new use for them! This conditioner in particular–oohhhh it smells goooood! Like coconuts. And reminds me of the beach. I love this scent!

But does it work on your hair? Heck to the no. Awful. Terrible. It says to use twice a week…and that is so far from helpful. The only way I could SOMEWHAT get this stuff to help my ratty hair, was to slather it on this morning. Throw it in a bun. Go outside in the terrible heat. Mow the grass. And then shampoo after.

I think leaving it in for almost 2 hours+this Tennessee heat was the only reason it worked a little bit. But, I’m sorry. If it takes mowing the grass every day to have decent hair, count me out.

What I have learned is an amazing use for this product??? Shaving cream!!!!

I use it to shave, and OMG the smell is decadent. My legs feel so smooth. My money isn’t totally wasted. All is well in the world. Ahh.

This is such a great way to finish off that drugstore conditioner you HATE, but feel like you have to use since you spent your hard earned Pennies on it. Keep this in mind for any cheapie conditioners you see-hey maybe they will work for your hair. If not-you know what to do-repurpose it!

I strongly recommend you try this in other aspects of life too! Hate your tablecloth? Make it into a skirt. (I did!) Use those mason jars around the house to hold your pretties–or drink out of them!  Give all the fun things you have around a new life! Let me know what you like to repurpose !

Beauty Favs: Body Wash and Scrub

Hey there…Girly girl to the MAX over here. I have certain items in my beauty collection that I feel need to be shared! I plan on doing more makeup tutorials (Did you all like the first one?) and more beauty fav shares soooon.  I love doing them and hope you find them helpful too!

I am totally in love with a certain scent at Bath and Body works. Actually-several scents. But most of them are your typical girly/sweet/fruity scents we are all drawn to when first walking in the door. But this one-it’s a game changer.

The scent isn’t anything I would ever be drawn to-especially by the name of it. And if you asked me to smell it-or test it- My first thought would be “Ummm…no thanks. That sounds disgusting.”

But I am telling you—this scent is super earthy ( in the best way possible) and I can’t get enough. Want to know what it is?? Of all things, Eucalyptus Spearmint. Eww. Right? No. Not at all. More like-awaken your senses and reel-you-in type scent. I wish you could smell through the internet. ( Can we go ahead and make that a thing?? I’m thinking I would end up buying every macaron on the inter-web.)

But really, the smell is like nothing you would ever imagine-and maybe  I am crazy- but i promise it makes me feel relaxed! It comes in several items, but the body wash+body scrub are my fav!

This bottle is huge! And the smell is phenomenal. I know- i keep saying it-annoying. But for reals y’all. AMAZING. And anything that is made to relax us? A MUST HAVE right??!!!  Check out the scrub here..

I love to use it from the neck down–Just scrub away all that dead skin and then shave+wash+whatever. Its amazing. Click the link Here to grab some for yourself. It’s worth it!

EVEN BETTER–right now is the Bath and Body Semi-Annual sale!!!! Make sure to go by your local store for some amazing deals! You can also order online if you aren’t near one-nonetheless- It’s stock up time ladies! Deals start at $3.00 and you can’t go wrong with their lotions and body sprays.

Another favorite? Lavender Vanilla Sleep Lotion. This scent is ah-mazing. Click the link Here to grab one for yourself.

These are both part of BBW aromatherapy collection-and great for fixin’ what ails ya’.

*Keep in mind, they carry a few different scents in each set, so make sure you grab the scent you like–I LOVE lavender vanilla, but NOT A FAN of  lavender chamomile. Just get the right one!!!!*

**Shoutout to the brick wall that has been in my house since we lived here-and I have never noticed. You will be seeing that wall quite a bit from here on out–get comfy with it 🙂 **
