5 minute makeup using ONLY drugstore products

Makeup tutorials seem to be my most requested blog posts–and I love that! Problem: I can’t do videos on my blog–so I have to do it via a series of pictures-which poses quite the challenge, but I am up for it. I think.

So I tried to whip up a 5 minute makeup routine–and I really think its pretty easy to follow. If you need any help with ANY of the steps, comment or email me! I am happy to give any insight I have.

Once again, I am NOT–I repeat NOT a professional. I just like to play in makeup, and you all have asked to see how I do it! So here goes…

5 MINUTE MAKEUP using these tools:

  • Foundation: Physician’s Formula CC Cream
  • Bronzer: Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer
  • Mascara: Maybelline ‘The Colossal Big Shot’
  • Concealer: Fit me
  • Eyeliner: Revlon Color Stay in brown
  • Eyeshadow-Maybelline Blushed Nudes
  • Brows: e.l.f. Pomade
  • Shadow brush: wet n’ wild
  • Bronzer Brush: elf powder brush
  • Beauty blender: real techniques
  • Lipstick/Blush: Revlon ‘champagne on ice’ *not pictured*

Ok-on to the good stuff.

Step 1: Foundation

I LOVE this CC cream for an easy every day foundation. It’s so simple to put on and can accommodate several skin shades. I put a little dob on the back of my hand like so ,

and use a beauty blender to apply to your face. Wet the beauty blender and pounce the the foundation all over until fully blended!

Step 2: Concealer

I apply the concealer under my eyes in a V shape, and blend with your beauty blender.

Then if you want to get extra snazzy, apply the leftover concealer down the middle of your nose.

Step 3: Bronzer

YALL–Bronzer is your bestie from here on out. Remember that. You will notice your whole face start to transform when you apply bronzer. For this look, I just swept a little from my cheekbones back to my hairline.  Next, sweep it around your forehead (near the hairline). I also like to do a little of my neck and Chest for a pretty glow. DISCLAIMER: Prepare to get addicted to this bronzer. It’s a drugstore bronzer, but I PROMISE YOU-it’s my fav. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Perfect amount of glow and smells like heaven.

Most people would probably not use a powder brush for bronzer, but this one is my fav! Its an e.l.f brush, and will run you $3.00 at Target. Score! Just make sure we are blending the bronzer out yall!

Step 4: Eyeshadow

I kept this look super simple and only used 2 shadows—although any other time I will always tell you—EVERY TIME YOU DO EYESHADOW, USE AT LEAST 3 DIFFERENT SHADES. You get such pretty depth, and I promise–your eyes will pop!

Today I used this color first–

And just swept it all over my lid and into the crease with my wet n’ wild brush. These are at dollar tree for $1.00 yall! And the quality is great for the price–go grab one asap! (Also-I know it will be a rough transition, but the sooner you can start using a brush for eyeshadow, the prettier your eyes will be. And the more you use them, the easier it gets! The wet n’ wild brush shown here has a little groove that forces you to hold the brush correctly as well–love that! )

*Yes-my pinky is jacked up. I broke it playing volleyball as a teen-never got it fixed and that stupid finger is the biggest pain in my butt now. *

This next color  I just swept into a V-shape on the outer corners of my eyelids. Instant depth.

Step 5: Eyeliner

I just used a brown eyeliner and lined my eyes and in the inner rims of my lower eyelid. Simple.

Step 6: Mascara (My fav)

If you ask me what the most important makeup item you can wear is, I will always say mascara! It will totally change your face for the better every time, and your eyes will love you for it. I just bought this mascara, and man is it awesome! I highly recommend it for some BIG ol’ lashes. Go getcha’ some.

I roll in on the back side of my lashes, and coat til my arms hurt..ALLLL the mascara yall. COAT IT ON.

Step 7. Blush/Lipstick

OK usually I would do blush after I bronze-but today is a little different. I used my lipstick as my blush as well! Here is the color: I love this nude color and it’s makes such a pretty cheek color as well! Just apply at the apples and blend up! Simple.

STEP 8: Brows

Usually I would use a brush, but today just used my finger to add a little color and that’s it!

Try ti ignore all the foundation all over my nails–I am super messy 😬

SOOOO….here is the finished product!
Simple easy makeup that anyone can do-I promise!! Any questions? Send them my way!!! Let me know what you think dolls!!

Free Jewelry via Rocksbox

Everyone loves a good subscription box right?? I am a big fan of the makeup boxes (Ipsy, Birchbox) and have seen a few others I would like to subscribe to–but you know–budget 🙄.

This box isn’t the typical subscription..This one is JEWELRY. Girls–the right earrings or necklace can make or break an outfit and I am a firm believer in earrings every day. If I leave the house without them, it’s going to mess my day up-ridiculous I know-but I can’t help it. I’m naked without them!

Now Rocksbox is a great alternative to shopping at the store–because you get 3 items and you keep them as long as you like! No overwhelming choices, and you don’t have to buy if you dont like them!

It’s Simple. Wear the items you love. Keep them. Get tired of them? Return for a new pair! Hate it from the start? Return them! Boom- New jewelry all the time and it can’t get any easier.

I will be honest-my first box wasn’t my favorite. I was slightly devastated, and emailed the Rocksbox team. To my suprise, they said to send it back and my next box was free too! I was in shock. They proceeded to tell me that you pay PER MONTH not PER BOX.  So when you order your first box, if you hate it. Send it back! They will immediately send another. FREE. Or if you love the items but wore them all in the week and want to try a new set, send them back. It’s free! So technically, you could order as many boxes as you could possible send in the month, and they would all be free! Seriously, I am loving this setup y’all . Perfect.

Just CLICK HERE for your first MONTH free! I highly recommend it and hope you try it out too! Now want to see what was in my box? Prepare yourselves–its fab.

So this is the box it comes in–OMG the cutest ever right?

I love that it even comes personalized with my name! Nice touch Rocksbox. 👌🏻

Now this I LOVED. Remember how I said I didn’t really like my first box? Well I made sure to be a little more in depth with what I was looking for in my second box, and they LISTENED. I said I wanted more fringe and tassels–and fringe and tassels I got. Their customer service is spot on. 👌🏻

So now to the good stuff. Check these out.

Can we say perfection?  They are so DANG CUTE.

Check these babies out…..Gorge.

Girls–The site is extremely user friendly and ANYONE can navigate it.  Make sure to be THOROUGH in telling your stylist what you like–colors, metal choices, if you like heavy/or lighter jewelry, etc. It makes a difference!

Do you want to see them styled? Check out a few pics with them on…Man I loved these!!! So pretty!

And these?? These..My goodness…..They were my favorite. So pretty and fun!

(Ignore the office furniture–I snapped these at work. I wanted you to see them in real life-this is as real as it gets. )

But seriously.. You have to check out Rocksbox…. You will love it! Just CLICK HERE for your first box FREE! IF you decide Rocksbox isn’t for you, simply call them to cancel! No hassle. (Just cancel before your next box ships.) Easy Peasy.

Let me know how you style your first box… I want to see what you all think!

One of the best Dollar Tree Finds….And It’s a MUST HAVE.

Hey there friends!

This has been such a crazy month for me–and I am loving it! We have been keeping ourselves busy spending time with family and friends, spent the last weekend at a 3 day bible convention (so refreshing) alll the summer fun outside, party planning, our bible ministry, etc. All exciting stuff .  😬

One of the main events taking up my time this past month? Jack and Jules . Not familiar? It is our local children’s consignment that comes around twice a year…..and I LOVE it. It’s time consuming but SO WORTH IT. It’s a great way to sell your children’s gently used clothes/and to grab some great deals for your littles. (Let me know if you want a blog post on my hanging/pricing process!)

At any rate, I wanted to share one of my tried and true time savers–and this will work for anyone–especially those of us who hate to iron.

I am not going to lie, when my kids outgrow their clothes, I throw them in the bottom of the closet (sometimes they make it in the  ” I’ve outgrown It box”, sometimes they don’t.) Nonetheless, they are wrinkled. To the max. Every one of them.

That being said, I think I have found the holy grail of wrinkle reducers, and it’s cheap as dirt. Literally, maybe cheaper than dirt. ( NO joke–try potting all the plants around your house. Its pricey.)

Once again, Dollar Tree has come to the rescue. This wrinkle reducer y’all–all the praise hand emojis..Here. Let me throw one in here just for fun. 🙌🏻.. It’s bomb. Do the kids say that anymore? Someone fill me in.

Notice what it looks like here…..

Now promptly leave your house, and go grab a bottle.

It smells so fresh and clean–and it’s so simple to use! Evidently it is the off brand of Downy, which I didn’t realize existed. But I’m telling you, it can’t be much better than this.

Just spray it on your wrinkled item, and give it a pull. Pull the clothing on each side, and then top and bottom. It’s awesome! Notice the difference in this shirt.

Before

After

Ok please don’t fault me as I forgot to spray the bottom of the shirt, ( I was so excited to share with ya people, per the usual) but isn’t the difference AMAZING????? SO MUCH EASIER than ironing.

I also am a huge fan of the “throw it back in the dryer with a wet towel” trick, but sometimes there just isn’t time, ya know? Add in the nice scent boost with it, and you have a solid champ in this wrinkle releaser.

The price point can’t be beat for the time it saves you!

Do you use a spray on wrinkle releaser like this? What is your take on it?? Let me know in the comments!!!!!

Beauty favs-  Boscia Exfoliating Peel

Sorry gals! I know I have been MIA for a while, but I am really making an effort to spend as much of this summer as I can with my boys. Overall, I don’t consider myself a “summer person”, but this year, I just don’t know—-Maybe I am turning over a new leaf! I think I just associate Summer with terrible heat, and terrible heat with being a pregnant whale, and being a pregnant whale with NONSTOP sweating. It was miserable. I was miserable. And I know I was miserable to BE AROUND (SO sorry to all of you who had to be in the car with me and the AC on as high as possible. I know you froze. Thanks for freezing for me. Love youuuu.)  I ALSO was TERRIFIED my babies would overheat in the sun, and so I stayed out of it as much as possible.

But now that I am not so worried about infants overheating, (or melting myself) I seem to be really enjoying Summer! I think Ifinally  understand why all these people love this season that I used to despise. That being said, the Summer heat does a number on our skin, and we need to combat some of these issues while we can!

Now, I am not the greatest at taking care of my skin–and I really wish my skin care product shelf was more than just a shelf. (Now makeup on the other hand—-maybe I have too much?……Nah).

But for whatever reason, I find it so hard to splurge on skincare…(Kind of like we don’t want to spend the 30.00 on the blouse that will last forever, but dropping 30 bucks on dinner is a no brainer.) I know I need to start with my skin, especially since I am a huge makeup fan, but getting started is rough!

At any rate, I decided to take the plunge and visited my local Sephora. They are used to seeing me there for makeup, and know my kids when we come in. It’s a problem, I know. But that day, I needed to see the skincare lady–new territory!

I told the consultant I felt like my skin needed a good cleaning-something to rid my face of the build-up and dirt. I didn’t want to break the bank, but needed something decent. She directed me to the Boscia shelf. I have seen this brand several times before, but never thought too much about it. She revealed to me that this peel was exactly what I needed, and would last quite a while.  Its the Boscia “exfoliating peel gel.” It’s like a mini chemical peel! Exciting, right? She also mentioned that it would clear up these black-heads that I hate so much. Cha-Ching!

I took it home and tried it, and no joke, it WORKED. Its kind of a weird setup if you ask me, but I can roll with it. You have to apply it to DRY skin, and rub around your face. It starts to ball up as you go, and that is how you know it’s working my friends!

Continue to rub it around for a minute, then rinse.  Voila!  Easy peasy.

Check out what the back says for yourself–its pretty neat!

Sorry about my awful nails–time to repaint–I know.

My skin immediately felt better after using this, and with time, I should be able to use it less often!

I HIGHLY recommend this product, and think you will love it too!

What are some of your favs? Let me know if you try this one

Worst Conditioner turned something great….

So if you haven’t noticed by now, I am a shopping addict. I am here to admit it-I have a problem. And that’s the first step, right? Well, amidst all of my shopping experiences, I have learned a few things. One of those being-stop buying the conditioners at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, etc.

EVERY TIME I get sucked in. “Whoa! This huge bottle for $2.99? Argan oil? Coconut oil? On clearance? That has to help my dried out bird’s nest hair!” Right? WRONG.

I can’t be the only one getting pulled in here. But really, every conditioner I have tried has failed me. And it hurts….to the core. I hate to waste my money-and feel slightly betrayed when my favorite stores do me wrong. #rude

All that being said, I REFUSE to throw these bottles out. Instead, I find a new use for them! This conditioner in particular–oohhhh it smells goooood! Like coconuts. And reminds me of the beach. I love this scent!

But does it work on your hair? Heck to the no. Awful. Terrible. It says to use twice a week…and that is so far from helpful. The only way I could SOMEWHAT get this stuff to help my ratty hair, was to slather it on this morning. Throw it in a bun. Go outside in the terrible heat. Mow the grass. And then shampoo after.

I think leaving it in for almost 2 hours+this Tennessee heat was the only reason it worked a little bit. But, I’m sorry. If it takes mowing the grass every day to have decent hair, count me out.

What I have learned is an amazing use for this product??? Shaving cream!!!!

I use it to shave, and OMG the smell is decadent. My legs feel so smooth. My money isn’t totally wasted. All is well in the world. Ahh.

This is such a great way to finish off that drugstore conditioner you HATE, but feel like you have to use since you spent your hard earned Pennies on it. Keep this in mind for any cheapie conditioners you see-hey maybe they will work for your hair. If not-you know what to do-repurpose it!

I strongly recommend you try this in other aspects of life too! Hate your tablecloth? Make it into a skirt. (I did!) Use those mason jars around the house to hold your pretties–or drink out of them!  Give all the fun things you have around a new life! Let me know what you like to repurpose !

Beauty Favs: Body Wash and Scrub

Hey there…Girly girl to the MAX over here. I have certain items in my beauty collection that I feel need to be shared! I plan on doing more makeup tutorials (Did you all like the first one?) and more beauty fav shares soooon.  I love doing them and hope you find them helpful too!

I am totally in love with a certain scent at Bath and Body works. Actually-several scents. But most of them are your typical girly/sweet/fruity scents we are all drawn to when first walking in the door. But this one-it’s a game changer.

The scent isn’t anything I would ever be drawn to-especially by the name of it. And if you asked me to smell it-or test it- My first thought would be “Ummm…no thanks. That sounds disgusting.”

But I am telling you—this scent is super earthy ( in the best way possible) and I can’t get enough. Want to know what it is?? Of all things, Eucalyptus Spearmint. Eww. Right? No. Not at all. More like-awaken your senses and reel-you-in type scent. I wish you could smell through the internet. ( Can we go ahead and make that a thing?? I’m thinking I would end up buying every macaron on the inter-web.)

But really, the smell is like nothing you would ever imagine-and maybe  I am crazy- but i promise it makes me feel relaxed! It comes in several items, but the body wash+body scrub are my fav!

This bottle is huge! And the smell is phenomenal. I know- i keep saying it-annoying. But for reals y’all. AMAZING. And anything that is made to relax us? A MUST HAVE right??!!!  Check out the scrub here..

I love to use it from the neck down–Just scrub away all that dead skin and then shave+wash+whatever. Its amazing. Click the link Here to grab some for yourself. It’s worth it!

EVEN BETTER–right now is the Bath and Body Semi-Annual sale!!!! Make sure to go by your local store for some amazing deals! You can also order online if you aren’t near one-nonetheless- It’s stock up time ladies! Deals start at $3.00 and you can’t go wrong with their lotions and body sprays.

Another favorite? Lavender Vanilla Sleep Lotion. This scent is ah-mazing. Click the link Here to grab one for yourself.

These are both part of BBW aromatherapy collection-and great for fixin’ what ails ya’.

*Keep in mind, they carry a few different scents in each set, so make sure you grab the scent you like–I LOVE lavender vanilla, but NOT A FAN of  lavender chamomile. Just get the right one!!!!*

**Shoutout to the brick wall that has been in my house since we lived here-and I have never noticed. You will be seeing that wall quite a bit from here on out–get comfy with it 🙂 **

Influenster – What’s it all about??

So I’ve seen this company around– And have been super curious about their game. Guys–TOTALLY WORTH my snooping. Influenster has sent me some awesome products as long as:

  1. I agree to review the products honestly
  2. I share with my favorite internet friends 🙂

Well, Here goes both! ( I have also shared my honest review on Instagram. Follow me Here
Y’all-to get this fun little pink box in the mail was SO EXCITING! Who doesn’t love happy mail? And even better–FREE!!! It’s an awesome set up-and I already can’t wait for my next one. In the meantime, check out the items I received here….

This is just the POSTCARD that came with the box! Isn’t it adorable? *Gush*

Here are all the items before I jumped in (FYI it was SO hard to not just open it all IMMEDIATELY)

I’ll start with my favaorite items in the Voxbox. The Live Clean baby items. They sent a baby wash and a lotion-both of which I LOVE. They both smell and feel AMAZING. It’s got that powder fresh baby smell that I LOVE.  And can we add–no parabens, it’s plant derived, dye free, never tested on animals, hypoallergenic-and that’s just the start!

I probably never would have used without this campaign. And no shame here people..I use it on my 5 year old and he smells so FRESH! Such a nice change from sweaty hair smell that comes with boys who love to be outside.😬 My rating: A+.

The next item up for bid: Eva NYC conditioner. Not gonna lie girls–didn’t care for this. I think maybe I am just spoiled with the hair products I use now (Should that be a blog post soon??!) but this stuff just didn’t do it for me. Now I will tell you-the smell is HEAVENLY. Not so sure you could beat this smell–but it didn’t soften my hair like I would have liked. Even rinsing it I could tell it wasn’t what I wanted. Again-maybe I am spoiled-but I wasn’t a fan 👎🏼 My rating: C+.

Ok next item: Duncan Hines single serve mug cake.

This is the only pic I had–half eaten cake. It went quick! But hey–cute mug below makes up for my sad picture above-right?

Ok I do ADORE that sweet mug, but the cake??? Get it. SO easy and pretty versatile! You can add coffee, milk, water, or coke! I used milk, and ate with a scoop of ice cream…mmm… The whole fam took a bite- and then a certain little monster in the house finished it off. My five year old was asking for more once we ran out too! All in all, I think this was a hit-and hooray for single serve portions! My rating: B+.

Next, is the Country Crock butter. I love that I was sent a coupon and I could pick this up anywhere I shop! So I grabbed the one with a Calcium boost at my local Kroger. (I’m getting old y’all.Let’s help those frail bones.)

I used this first in my Chicken Noodle Casserole Dish this week..MMMMM….so GOOOD!!!! Check This link a couple posts for my recipe. Its so yummy! Looks like this….

It also spreads so easily-which is huge for us with toast! My rating: B+.

Last item-Nature’s Bounty Energy Gummies. My gracious I have never had gummy vitamins taste so amazing! And while I caught a little flack for eating them from some super health nuts on social media ( I hate that by the way. If you don’t like it-just be nice.K?) I am a huge fan. They are scrumptious and give a nice energy boost for your day. 2 gummies are all you need and you are set! This is another product I probably never would have tried if  hadn’t been sent it, so I am so appreciative!!!!! My rating:A+.
Overall, I am a huge fan of my Voxbox and think you all would love to get them too! Click the link HERE to get involved. It’s a great setup for everyone! Try it out and let me know what you think 🙂

**All items were sent to me complimentary, but all opinions and views are my own**

Top Disney Tips and Tricks

Can’t believe we have been gone from Disney World a week already. Ugh I miss it so much.  Walt Disney wanted you to enter and totally leave all cares behind. He 100% accomplished that! We had the time of our lives and I am really hoping for a week there next year 🙂

Anyone taking a trip to Florida anytime soon? If so, Disney is a MUST on the list…and if I ever find myself moving to Florida, season passes are #1 on my list.

If you are a Disney first timer, keep this is mind. YOU NEED TO GET THERE EARLY. We arrived there around 8:40 as the doors opened at 9. We didn’t get to our first ride until after 10am! My goodness it was wild. We didn’t realize you have to take a boat ride/monorail to get TO THE PARK front the parking lot. After a trolley ride to the ticket booth. Its quite the process. It’s fun to ride the boat, but takes a while ! Seriously –get there early. EARLY.

So our arrival went a little something like this…Drive in to the parking space. Unload the car. We knew we shouldn’t totally put our stroller together because we had to ride the trolley to the front of the park….so my husband carried it. We have the kind of stroller you hook to your bike. Know what I am talking about? It’s got the huge arm on the front and rides So SMOOOOOTH. We were so excited to use it!

**Here are the kiddos on the trolley on the way to the park. They were so excited to ride! This was the first ride of the day for them–and they couldn’t have been happier.**

So anyways,  the macho Hubby carried that monster stroller to the trolley. Held it on the trolley-then once we got to the boat, we put it together. It was perfect–held the cooler, all our snacks, sunscreen, everything! Everyone was happy-until we got to the entrance. “Umm..ma’am. I don’t think these are allowed in. Let me call someone over to check it.” Hearts sank. The manager man came over and confirmed our fears. “I’m so sorry but he is right. We don’t allow these in the park because of the tripping hazard.”

Perfect. Now we have to walk this thing back to the car and go fork out another $31.00 to rent a double stroller. But we kept our composure, and I looked at the sweet little man and asked,  ” Ok, so what would our next step be?”

“Thank you for understanding. It’s all for everyone’s safety.  I am going to give a voucher for your stroller. Follow me.”

At this point, we are still confused. Is he GIVING us the stroller to use??? Sure enough, he comp’d us a stroller! SO what could have been miserable, turned awesome! And he wasn’t kidding BTW…. As we were trading our stroller for the Disney stroller, I tripped over that dang arm. It would have been terrible to take that through the park. THANK GOODNESS for nice workers at Disney. He said most people pitch a fit and he really appreciated we didn’t get upset with him.

Moral of the story, be nice to the workers!!!! They may help you out when you least expect it.

Notice our cooler on the stroller? This thing was awesome! We packed 6 waters, 2 pepsi’s and 2 Capri sun’s. For one 20 oz coke, it cost $3.50 at the park! Taking the cooler was a huge help for us. Keep in mind you can bring whatever snacks and drinks you would like into the park! I couldn’t believe that!!! SO we packed chips and snacky things to get us through the day. We bought one meal while we were there, and just ate/drank what we brought otherwise.

Another great thing, any quick stop places will give you cups of water for FREE!!! So if we ever got thirsty, we just grabbed a cup of water and went on our merry way 🙂

Next item up for business : Fast Passes

Through the  Disney app, everyone gets 3 fast passes. We set ours up in walking order through the park. (Walk to the left when you get in the park, because people all turn right when they first come in, supposedly)

The first ride we tried was Pirates of the Caribbean. Not a good idea when you have little boys who are scared of everything. It was a very easy going boat ride, but my goodness they were scared out of their little minds and cried the whole ride.

The next ride we used a fast pass for was Splash Mountain. This was one of our favorite rides!!!! I definitely recommend using a fast pass for this ride–and we used it during lunch time so it was a nice cool down for us 🙂  **If you are worried about getting SOAKED–DON’T FRET! This ride gets you wet, ut you won’t be soaked. Your shoes also stay dry, so no squishy tennis shoes while you are walking the park. **

At some point during the day, we decided to try to ride “It’s a small world.” We waited in line for maybe 15-20 minutes and then they announced the ride wasn’t working, but we were welcome to wait for a bit for it to come back up. So maybe 50% of the people in line left, and we waited a while longer. Then the next announcement came–the ride wasn’t coming back up. SO everyone who waited in line got a fast pass for their group to use on any ride!!!! Awesome in my opinion as I did NOT want to do that ride.

Our last fast pass, we used on Peter Pan. That was a favorite for kids and adults alike. I would loved to have done this one twice–but almost every single ride had wait times of one hour or longer. Ugh. We only did 2 rides with a wait time close to an hour and those were Jungle Cruise and Buzz Lightyear. The jungle cruise was lame to me, but kiddies loved it so I’ll call it a win. Buzz lightyear was SO FUN and Ford went on it twice–Yay!!!

Right after the ride, we met Buzz and this was a highlight for the boys. If you ask him about Disney , the little is going to say “We saw Buzz Lightyear!” He loved it!!!!!

Another thing–remember those free fast passes we got? Instead of everyone using a fast pass for one ride, we split them up so the kids could do more rides. So while my dad took Ford on Buzz Lightyear for the second time, My sister and I took Cash to ride Winnie the Pooh. I wish we didn’t use a fast pass for this one as the line for this ride is so much cooler than the ride itself! There are plenty of little fun interactive things for the kiddos to do and keep them busy in the line, ** Side note,  if you get motion sick–maybe stay away from this ride, ok?

Notice my kiddos amazing little hats??? Yea, so did everyone else. EVERYONE was asking where we got them in the park. They wanted to buy some too! But you won’t find them in the park.

In fact, not a single kid I saw had hats like theirs. I loved that they were little originals, even in Disney world where everyone is looking so similar. Want to buy some yourself?

I’m going to share my secret with you all—and its an amazing little shop on Etsy. Click here To shop these amazing little lids. Any kid would love to have these hats, regardless of whether or not you are going to Disney!  Check out the little details on this Baymax hat.

My kids loved these so much and your kids will too! Look at this awesome Lightning McQueen one.
Click here For your own cute Dizzy Lid. 🙂 I can’t say enough awesome things about these hats. They kept the kiddos from getting burnt on our Florida trip and the boys wore them at some point almost every day we were down there. Now I plan on them WEARING THESE OUT this summer. Thanks again Dizzylidz. 🙂

Visit her website at Www.Dizzylidz.com
Another thing–almost every family you see at Disney has matching Mickey tee’s. Now we matched(ish) but no one had shirts like ours! I was actually really shocked about that one. I thought we would see at least a few families with mama/papa bear shirts. But nope-none!!

I bought Dale and Cash’s shirts at JCP before we left for $5.00! (What what??) I ordered the decal for Ford’s “Man Cub” shirt on Etsy and applied it to this cute little tee I scored from ….where else? Target.

Now my shirt—I LOVED. It came from an awesome shop on Etsy with some of the cutest tees, tanks, and Raglans I’ve ever seen. I’m not kidding. They are HYSTERICAL and ADORABLE. Do yourself ( or maybe a good friend) a favor, and go visit Sydney at the Fickle Fox. Her shirts are amazing and I can’t wait for my next one 😉

I will be wearing this tank all summer for sure! It’s so soft and the print is so dang CUTE! Again, shop Here for some awesome tees for the family–you won’t be disappointed!  Check out one of my fav outfits below….
Shop @shop_ficklefox here ! ANd make sure to follow her on Instagram at @fickle_fox.

Another fun freebie from Disney? Celebration pins! There are several to choose from, so tell them what you are celebrating, and those ticket booth peeps will hook you up. We made my husband wear his for a picture (but he promptly took it off out of embarrassment. And yes-now it’s all over the internet. )

Another hit at the park–our Mickey ears! I couldn’t believe the amount of people who said they loved our ears–workers included! One girl said–I have never seen ears like those–could you make me some??” I happily said yes–and wish I would have gotten her name. I so would have sent her a pair. Anybody HERE want a pair?? I’m thinking of doing a giveaway and including some fun ears for someone… 😬😬😬.. What do you think????

** Check out how to make these a few posts back!!!**
One last must see—-the Castle. Get up close. It’s gorgeous and amazing and phenomenal and probably should be my home. ( I know -we all think that)

Even more so, see it at night. And then wait–and see it at closing time when they do the light show/fireworks. I may or may not be telling the truth when I say it made me teary-eyed. I did not want to leave this beautiful place, and that show at the end just sealed it. It’s a must see and probably should be on every person’s bucket list..

One more tip for the road–bring your kiddos some gifts to give while you are at the park. I bought these lollipops at Dollar Tree before our trip, along with the keychains and gave them to the kids towards the end of the day when I thought they needed a boost. The suckers at Disney were $4.00 a piece y’all!!! Paying $1.00 and toting them for a while was so worth it. And the keychains? $1.00 at DT as well, and made a cute little gift for them to keep 🙂

I also bought glow sticks and brought them for night time and they were a hit! Great buy when you consider those light things they sell there are $24.00!!!!!!! Gosh that is steep…  But any guess where I got ours?? DT again.. Score.

**And if possible, visit the Disney Character Warehose in the Orlando Premium Outlets. The prices are UNREAL. They had hats for  $1.99, jewelry for $4.99, HUGE TOYS for $1.99, and even last years tee shirts for 99 CENTS. Are you joking me???? And while were at it–that whole outlet mall had AMAZING prices!!!! Shop there if you get a chance… its a few minutes from Disney and so worth your trip!!!! **

So sad that all trips have to come to and end–so that being said–I ask that you take as many pictures as your family will allow! It’s hard to remember everything, so if you can freeze the moment-it’s now a forever memory. Try to capture every moment and enjoy the time you have at this amazing place!!!!! It’s a perfect family trip and worth every penny. If it’s possible, take your littles–or even do a couples trip to the happiest place on earth! I can’t say it enough–GO. GO. GO.

Let me know what ideas/tips you have for Disney and make sure to Pin to Pinterest for later!
All the love y’all 💕💕

Top 7 ways to save at Target

Dear Target,

I can’t imagine life without you and need you to know how important you are to me. You keep me sane-and at the same time save my dough. Why is it that when I walk in your front doors, I am instantly at peace? Why are you the reason I want to stay living at this same house forever? Oh that’s right, you that dreamy store that just happens to be exactly 7 minutes away, and is the perfect getaway for any Momma  looking for a relaxing shopping experience with the tiny humans. Or maybe we just need a little “Me time”, and you know what? You are always there for us. Always. So here are the reasons I will continue to run to you for all my little needs and wants and sometimes guilty indulgences.

                                                                                                            Yours truly,

                                                                                                             Smitten With Target
Ok, Ok so you walked in on my ode to Target, but really, I don’t need to tell you it’s the most amazing place to shop. In fact, I love it so much, I want to share with you my TOP 7 reasons to continue to shop there-and it will be even cheaper than shopping at that not-so-dreamy rival store. So please, grab a glass of wine, throw your feet up, and soak in some important tips to saving money at Target!

1. Redcard

Going through the checkout line, what’s the million dollar question? “Will you be paying with your Redcard today?” Thankfully, now I always say yes. And you should be saying yes too. You can choose to get either the credit or debit card-and every single purchase will immediately be an extra 5% off. It doesn’t seem like much in the beginning, but it adds up so quickly! I promise! Especially on your bigger purchases like TV’s, Game systems, patio furniture, etc. Just check the bottom of your receipt every purchase to see what you have saved. We chose to go with the debit card as it comes directly out of our account and no worries as to another bill.  Another thing-sometimes your Redcard will score you in-store freebies. One week last year, every day you shopped you got a free drink from the cafe. The next week, you got free popcorn-every trip.  It was a huge help shopping with the littles, and Target just gave me another reason to stop in and shop-Score!

2. Cartwheel

Ok-this is another IMPORTANT list item. Cartwheel will quickly turn into one of your most used apps-and one that will save you the most money. Just download from your smartphone, sign in, and start saving. Each item in Carthweel will be marked 5-60% off. It’s awesome!!!!! Certain items each week will be marked down and it is ever changing! (Check every day, as some items will be a pretty hot buy and will only last a few days.) But a few you can almost always expect-are Market Pantry items (Target’s store brand). So scroll through all the items in the app, if you wish, and add what you think you will use. As a new user, you will get to pick 10 different items to get at the discount listed. The more you buy, the more items you will get to unlock and use. I am up to 50 now (which is the max) and it is a MAJOR help when shopping for groceries.

So far, I have saved $293.00 just by using Cartwheel every Target trip! Another great part of the app is the barcode scanner. I scan every item in my cart to see if it will be any extra percent off-and really-most times there is! Last trip, I threw the dog food in the cart, then scanned the barcode to find out it was an extra 15% off! Huge help! I screenshot a few area of the app so you can see the setup.

When you are ready to check out, just click the cart at the bottom and show the cashier your barcode. Watch that price drop and do your happy dance girls.

3. Coupons

I love to use my coupons at Target! Manufacturer coupons+Target coupons are STACKABLE guys! This makes for some seriously great deals throughout the store. You can also stack your coupons with Cartwheel offers-like-OMG all the heart eyes over here ya’ll.  Think about it Redcard+Carthwheel+Target coupons+Manufacturer coupons=Serious savings.

4. Clearance.

Ok here’s the scene. Date night with the husband. Dinner is over and HE wants to stroll Target. *Yes he is drool worthy*  We get in and I am just following like a little puppy at this point-just happy we are together and alone-and of course,  at  🎯 . He is strolling aisles, but skipping ALL THE CLEARANCE ENDCAPS! No joke, after walking maybe 5 minutes, I go into panic mode and I frantically start saying, ” DALE-YOU ARE DOING THIS ALL WRONG. WE’RE SKIPPING ALL THE CLEARANCE. THERE IS A WHOLE SYSTEM TO WALKING THROUGH TARGET!!” He also happens to be a huge deal shopper and says ” Well I don’t come here enough! I don’t know what I’m doing. Where’s the clearance?!?” So we proceed to hit every clearance endcap in the store. And my heart sang a little.

Moral of the story-Don’t skip the endcaps. They are full of super clearance jewels that will turn themselves into gifts for friends and family, party supplies, road trip snacks, etc. It’s a beautiful thing really.

I also always hit the clothes clearance racks as they will be chock full of cheap buys for the entire family-and Oh so cute! So hit up the clearance racks ya’ll. It’s worth your time.  *Sometimes cartwheel does extra 20% off clearance clothes and shoes for the family so keep an eye out!*

5. Gift Card Deals

These are great deals for household items! Target runs deals all the time Buy 2-get a $5.00/$10.00 gift card. Or Buy three get a $20.00 gift card. One of my favorite ways to use this deal-Diapers. Target brand has some of my favorite diapers for the price.Combine  that with a gift card offer and we’re golden. Another fantastic deal with the gift card offer is toilet paper! Cottonelle is our favorite (I know-getting personal here) and you can use a Manufacturer coupon with the GC deal and score some serious savings. Keep your eyes peeled for these deals!

6. Price Match

Find a good deal online but don’t want to wait for shipping? Or notice Target’s price is a tad higher than other stores? Price match! Customer service will do this for you on a little device they keep up front. Just tell them where you saw the lower deal and they will price adjust. Find the complete list of price match stores HERE.

7. Dollar Spot

As soon you walk in the door, you will notice a little display of fun, cheap items for the whole family. It differs from month to month, but you may catch planner accessories, toys, beach items, seasonal gifts, household decor, and party items! The prices range from $1.00-$5.00 and make great gift closet items. Keep checking in as sometimes these items go on super clearance and I have seen them as low as 10 cents! Awesome deal !!
There are so many ways to save your pennies by shopping at Target! Keep all these ideas in mind, and let me know what deals you find!  What is your favorite way to save at Target?
